Why You Need Covered RV Storage?
Owning an RV has the potential of shuttling lifelong memories for you and your family. However, when it's time to park your home on wheels, finding a place to store your RV becomes essential. Gone are the days of having your driveway taken up by your RV. At High Plains Storage, we provide top-notch RV covered parking designed to keep it out of the Arizona sun. With our up to 34' long and up to 44' long covered parking, your RV will have a longer life.
Benefits of Choosing RV Covered Parking
Protection from the Sun
One of the significant features of choosing covered parking is the protection it offers against the sun. When a vehicle is exposed to sunlight for long periods, the clear coat on your paint can wither away. A similar reaction happens to your RV’s interior. High heat can cause your interior to become brittle over time. Our covered parking spaces protect your RV from these weather conditions, preserving its exterior and interior.
Security Features
At High Plains Storage, security is important to us. Our self-storage facilities have security measures, including 24/7 surveillance cameras and a gate access control system. These features help keep your RV safe.
Understanding RV Covered Parking Options At High Plains Storage
Up to 44' Long Space
Our 45' long spots are the best option if you own a larger RV. They provide more than enough room for sizable RV models. If you have a mid-sized RV, these spots still work flawlessly.
Up to 34' Long Space
Our 34' long covered parking space offers an excellent solution for slightly smaller RVs. It fits most travel trailers, smaller motorhomes, and compact RV models.
The space is affordable for protecting mid-sized RVs. It offers great value by keeping your RV pristine and reducing potential maintenance costs from the harsh Arizona sun.

Maintaining Your RV While in Storage
Regular Inspections
We recommend regularly inspecting your RV. When RVs are stored for long periods, items may not work correctly. For example, batteries need a trickle charger to keep them alive. We also recommend purchasing a fuel stabilizer if you plan to leave your RV for long periods. RV tires also develop flat spots if they sit unused. Consider taking your RV for a quick drive to round out your tires once a month.
Cleaning and Maintenance Tips
Keeping your RV clean is essential to prevent damage to the paint. For example, bird droppings have a slight acidity, which will cause color distortion in your RV’s paint. Wash your RV before storing it, and place an RV cover to protect it from dust and debris. Please note: Maintenance is not to be performed at our facility. Please move your RV off-site for maintenance.
Prepare Your RV For the Winter
If you're storing your RV during winter, it's essential to winterize it properly. Consider draining all water systems, adding antifreeze, and other cold-sensitive items that could be affected. Areas of Chino Valley get as low as 21˚F. This harsh condition can cause water to freeze. When water freezes, it expands and may break essential systems in your RV.
